CitizenPlane & TTI at ITB Berlin: A Celebration of Innovation and Optimism

CitizenPlane & TTI’s Highlights from ITB Berlin 2025

CitizenPlane & TTI at ITB Berlin: A Celebration of Innovation and Optimism

As you may have noticed, the CitizenPlane and TTI (a CitizenPlane company) team were buzzing in the lead-up to ITB Berlin 2025—I might have even hinted at it in a recent CitizenPlane blog post. As it turned out, we had every reason to be excited. With over 120 meetings held, our pre-show energy set the stage for plenty of meaningful conversations. But beyond the strong sales traction, what really stood out to me this year was the sheer scale of innovation—and the unmistakable sense of optimism that ran throughout the event.

Technology Innovation Everywhere

At ITB Berlin this year, travel tech innovation wasn’t confined to Hall 5.1—it was everywhere you turned. Payments, AI agents, booking tools—you name it, innovation was on full display, its ubiquity, underscoring just how important technology has become in shaping the success of every sector, from MICE to destination marketing. And nowhere was that spirit of innovation more evident than at CitizenPlane.

Over the past year, we’ve firmly brought together the two sides of our business—instant distribution with Air and the power of airline retailing and customer experience technology in Zenith. ITB Berlin gave us the perfect stage to showcase how these capabilities complement each other, creating unique synergies for airlines, tour operators, and OTAs alike. It was energizing to see it all come together, but the momentum wasn’t just ours. Optimism was palpable everywhere you went—even against a backdrop of growing uncertainty.

Unity in a Time of Uncertainty

Although we collectively face no shortage of challenges—economic turbulence, devastating conflicts, and shifting political dynamics—the atmosphere at ITB was buoyant. On the show floor, new ecosystem partners forged fresh relationships, while long-time colleagues reconnected at hopping parties across the German capital. With partnerships flourishing across languages, geographies, and cultures, it was a powerful reminder that differences need not divide people - good things happen when people come together in the spirit of mutual respect and success

Looking Ahead

As for me, I am certainly optimistic about the future - after all, there is a lot to be excited about. At CitizenPlane we will continue innovating (watch this space!) and helping customers and partners grow with simple, effective solutions people love to use.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us at ITB Berlin—you made it an event to remember. I look forward to reconnecting next year, if not sooner, to continue doing business and celebrating the incredible resilience and innovation of the industry we’re proud to be a part of.
