Sun&Fun turns lost capacity into opportunity with CitizenPlane

This partnership has enabled the Polish tour operator to unlock 300k€ worth of sales, turning what used to be leftover capacity into a reliable new revenue stream.
Sun & Fun Holidays has been sending Polish holidaymakers to the sun for over two decades. Based in Warsaw, the company sends around 100,000 passengers a year to their handpicked portfolio of all-inclusive resorts across Egypt, Tunisia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece, Cyprus, and beyond.
They’re a fast-growing, but still agile operator with strong airline relationships, and a loyal customer base.
Like many tour operators, Sun & Fun had contracted seat blocks across their airline partners that weren't always fully absorbed by their own packages. Their allocations are selling, but they structurally have seats left unsold at the end of the day.
Sun & Fun started working with CitizenPlane in January 2022. The pitch was simple: offer your available seats through CitizenPlane's air distribution platform, reach new demand channels, and let last-minute sales fill planes.
The integration was painless. CitizenPlane's technology handles the complexity, so Sun & Fun's team could personalise their offers easily. Without any heavy IT development, the operator added a new revenue stream.
We load our available seats and the bookings follow. CitizenPlane makes it effortless: the distribution just works, without adding complexity to our operations. Over three years, it's become a reliable part of how we manage our allocations. We get more out of our inventory, and our passengers get great last-minute deals. Kinga Borkowska, Charter Flight Coordinator at Sun & Fun
Sun & Fun’s inventory performs particularly well on last-minute demand. With CitizenPlane, their remaining seats are distributed to the right buyers at the right time across leading travel platforms such as Last Minute, eDreams ODIGEO, Kiwi.com, and Skyscanner.
At the same time, Sun & Fun is expanding rapidly, launching new destinations from Warsaw (WAW) and Katowice (KTW), and adding new airline partnerships. Each new route creates additional inventory that can be monetized through CitizenPlane.
To support this growth, Sun & Fun needed a smarter way to distribute their air capacity. One that fits seamlessly into their existing operations while generating revenue from seats that would otherwise go unsold.
CitizenPlane delivered exactly that: a fast, low-friction solution to unlock incremental revenue from their flight inventory.
